Thematic axes

Learning by Producing

This axis addresses the content elaborated in the Chacras System program, which represents Aapresid's Research & Development department, aimed at answering farmers' demands through the development of sustainable technology suited to local conditions and production systems.

It is a synergy among farmers, science and research organizations. The program optimizes local development via "learning by producing" and "collaborative networking".

Integrated Systems

Talking about integrated systems means acknowledging production diversity and multiple joint alternatives already existing in our territories. Our proposal is to broaden insights and bring Argentine farmers' experiences to the forefront in order to integrate, diversify and drive innovation within their systems. We promote diversification as a productive strategy and as a path toward increasing sustainability.

Crop Management

Crop management is one of the most solid expressions of how our production approach speaks for us. Every productive decision reflects our commitment to the soil and water resources. This axis seeks to share information, experiences and results. It seeks to build the bridge between knowledge and practical implementation so that collective learning translates into better decisions for sustainable productive systems.

Pest Management

The axis, coordinated by Aapresid's Pest Management Network, will address approaches aimed at developing more effective and sustainable control practices on weeds, insects and diseases. It will explore integrated management strategies, resilience trends and new available monitoring technology.

Innovation & Agtech

In the face of the challenge of bringing innovation closer to the farmer from a practical and applied view, this axis will focus on the ABC of technology adoption: understanding which technology is available, what can it be used for and how it affects business. It is through solid experiences, means and data that it will seek to help farmers and advisors toward better decision-making, assess technology return on investment and use the potential of the Agtech ecosystem to build more efficient and adapted productive systems in anticipation of future challenges.

Global Challenges

Within an increasingly dynamic global context, Argentine agriculture faces new challenges and opportunities regarding changes in geopolitical affairs, international commerce and rising demands on sustainability matters. This axis aims to assess how these changes affect our own productive systems and what strategies the sector needs in order to adapt and compete. At the same time, it encourages thoughts on how Argentina can share its knowledge, technology and experience in productive systems with the world.

Sociopolitical Perspectives

This axis addresses the need to articulate the various sectors coexisting with agriculture, framing current challenges, such as education, communication and governmental decisions and regulations, within the political scene. It is a space to think and forge agreements that will translate into real-world impact.

Soil Health

Soil health is a key component to sustain productivity and resilience in agricultural systems. Understanding the state and evolution of soils is useful to anticipate risks, improve management decisions and boost the output of production systems. This axis will address agricultural management strategies, diagnostic tools and indicators for measuring and valuing soil health, promoting practices that improve the functional capacity of soils and positioning them as strategic assets for production sustainability.

Business Management

This new axis in the Congress is focused on finance and management strategies for agricultural companies. Through a transversal view of each technical axis, it provides an answer to the needs farmers face when choosing a production system: profitability, long-term vision and financial projections.
